Entomology Student Organization

The Entomology Student Organization (ESO) of the University Of Maryland is an organization established for the advancement and recognition of Entomology Graduate students.

Through its Constitution and By-Laws it "secures and protects the rights of all graduate students in the Entomology department." These rights are established as a governing committee made up of a President / Faculty Representative, Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) Representative, a Treasurer and a Social Chair. These representatives—made up of Graduate students with affiliation to the Dept. of Entomology— are responsible for all duties of the ESO, such as informing students of changes to departmental and university policy, distribution of departmental awards, and planning and execution of department fundraisers and social events.
